Although the winery is located in the Napa Valley, and makes a cabernet sauvignon from local fruit, the fruit of this wine originates from the nearby Alexander Valley in Sonoma County.
Dark brilliant red. Anticipate pronounced ripe berry aromas, Full-bodied, layered and finely structured. Aged in American oak barrels, it exudes vanilla flavors. Cellar for three to four years.
Pair confidently with medium-rater steaks, or roast rib of beef, or aged cheeses e.g Parmegiano reggiano, Swiss Emmenthal or Gruyere, Old Cheddar from Ontario or England.
