Organoleptic judgement: Ruby-red colour; intense, complex fragrance with perceptible woody notes, well balanced and with the grape's characteristics; a rounded, harmonious and lasting taste.
Useful information: il Sogno was born from an absolutely novel project: Il Sogno del Patriarca, conceived to produce a wine which, obtained from grapes grown in the choicest vineyards, further enhances the identity of the great Barbera and its territory. The aim is that of proposing a model of Barbera dAsti Superiore with considerable potential, both quality- and quantity-wise, using synergies between production and marketing, all of which under the technical coordination of oenologist Giuliano Noe. A wine that for the first time brings together, bound by a joint venture, the two co-operative wineries VINCHIO-VAGLIO SERRA and NIZZA and two wine producers with a great productive and marketing tradition, SCRIMAGLIO and FONTANAFREDDA. Individual and co-operative wineries, based in the Asti and Alba provinces, united in the name of quality and tradition.
This is a powerful wine with taste of fruit and a hint of oak.
