The vineyard was planted in the 12th century, but viens replanted as required. Only 14 700 bottles were produced, weighing in with 16 per cent ABV. The wine is dark red. Offers intense berry aromas, is full bodied, well balanced, and layered. It should be cellared (10 - 15 years) for more refinement. If you decide to drink it now, pair with old hard cheeses (Old Cheddar, Parmegiano reggiano, Emmenthal, Gruyere, Old Pecorino)
