I tasted this wine for the first time and am puzzled by the taste. I buy merlot from France and other countries and Long Beach Merlot is like nothing to describe its character as a Merlot. Very smooth and fruity with all the flavors of plum and various fruits, I would like to know what if this is a value wine and what food would serve to complement the wine. I am from Canada and was told by our Liquor Commission Board this was a $19.00 (CAN) bottle of premium wine. However, I really can''t see the value against cheaper wines we can purchase for less. Curious to receive more information regarding this wine.
and how we can pair it with the right food. Thank you
